Raleigh Beer Garden Celebrates Oktoberfest with Full Month of Events

The Raleigh Beer Garden announces that it is celebrating Oktoberfest throughout the entire month of October. Join everyone at the Beer Garden for Taste of Oktober as 30 breweries join our guests and conduct tastings of their fine beers in 30 days.

The Beer Garden will also be hosting its first ever Oktoberfest celebration starting on Wednesday, October 7th and continuing through Sunday, October 11th at the Raleigh Beer Garden. A variety of contests, live bands, great food and drinks are on tap every night of the celebration. The public is encouraged to be a part of the festivities through the contests. The Beer Garden will have competitions for the best dressed fraulein/lederhosen; a stein hoist contest; a yodeling contest and a sausage eating contest as well. Contest sign-ups are on a first come basis and the winner of each contest nightly heats will compete in the finals on Sunday for prizes.

The musical line-up (with the contests during the breaks) for the first Glenwood South Oktoberfest will be as follows:

  • Wednesday Oct. 7th Pseudo Cowboys 7p-11p
  • Thursday Oct. 8th Tommy Faucette & the Revelators 7p-11p
  • Friday Oct. 9th Jason Adamo 7p-11p
  • Saturday Oct. 10th Funk Sandwich 7p-11p
  • Sunday Oct. 11th Little German Band & Dancers 5p-9p

Signups for the contests will be available at the Beer Garden starting Friday Oct. 2nd.
