Isaac Hunter’s Oak City Tavern announces farewell event

I’m sad to say this fixture in my Fayetteville Street rotation of “bars that are good for at least one drink” will be coming to a close this month. The official send-off event is posted on Facebook.

Well gang, it’s been an amazing run but unfortunately, like ice cream sandwiches and your favorite song, all good things must come to an end. The landlord has decided to go in a different direction so Isaac Hunter’s will be closing the doors for the final time at the end of this month and we thought the best way to thank you all for your support over the years would be to throw a giant all day party and go out with a bang! It’s been an amazing journey for all of us with the added pleasure of getting to know so many of you and we would love to all gather just one last time in the old digs to throw out old stories and toss down some delicious drinks.

Coglin’s and Paddy O’Beers, two other Fayetteville Street concepts owned by Isaac Hunters Hospitality, remain open. (Image via Isaac Hunter’s Oak City Tavern Facebook page.)
